Simms Studded Freestone wading boots

Was wondering if anyone knows anything about removing the studs from Simms Freestone Boots. I beleive that I have thouroughly wore my boots out to the point that every step I take I can feel a lump where each stud is located. They now wear me out 10 times faster due to aching feet. I dont really want to buy new boots if there is a way that I can remove the studs and maybe just slap some new felt on.

Have you tried calling Simms?

They are a very angler friendly company. A phone call to them, since they made the boots, might not be a bad idea.
