Met a great guy
Hmmmm. OK don't raise an eye-brow. I just spent a couple weeks up at my new place in Oregon and met someone in person that I met on this website. I wanted to publicly thank him here for all the help and information and personal guide service that he provided. George, (Montana Moose) showed me some of his favorite spots on the river to fish and how to fish them. He helped me move furniture into my house and even offered to mow the lawn for free ( I declined) while I was away from my future permanent home on the North Umpqua. If you are planning to be up near there be sure to let him know and he will be happy to share fish stories and a good bit of time tossing a fly with you. If you come after May of 07 I will probably be there too and will try to be as good a host as he was. I'm looking forward to having him as a neighbor. Again, thanks George. You are one who makes this sport great.

I've only met Montana moose thru the Chat here on FAOL. He seems like a nice guy all right.
How nice of him go out of his way for you.
I bet if you asked him , He benefitted from the meeting as much as you did. Thats what happens when you pay it forward.
If you attend one of the fish-in's you will run into many many people who just like George will go out of their way to help you catch fish and have a good time. I know because it happened to me.
and thats the real value of this website.

When you go camping with Moose, make sure he stays away from the campfire... he melted his shoes two years in a row in Lowell.... Great guy, and a even nicer friend.
