What a special opportunity. Hopefully someone who can do justice to this fine blank will be the winner. Many are called but few are chosen, and I certainly am not worthy of such a fine piece of artistry.
Thanks, Bob, for your generosity to FAOL and all of us.
Joe
What an awesome prize!!! I know I would give my right and left nut (if I had them  ), to get a chance at building a rod like that. For now I can only dream and keep building graphite rods. I'm still waiting to win the Lottery! LOL
I have a friend who builds beautiful cane fly rods, and he's constantly telling me, "Deb, you really must try building some!" As I pointed out to him, I can't afford the tools!!! LOL
Like Joe said, I hope who ever wins that beauty will do justice to it.
Thanks for letting us dream of the possibility , Bob!!
Deb
:tieone:
Deb, only YOU would be willing to give something that you don't have. LMAO. thanks for making my day.
Joe
I've been building rods for over 30 years and can be pretty snobby about my style. But I have to say my expertise is in gaining high quality performance from the less expensive.
If I won this one I'd have to change style and contact some of the artists on the board like dleo for some real expert advice. The components to do this one justice would break the bank - but it would definitely be worth it. :D

Glad I could make your day!!
Thats an awesome prize from a great Sponsor. I read thru His website and am very impressed by his pictures. I checked the price list, however I did not find anywhere that indicates that He sells blanks just beautifully finished rods.
Now I have to go clean the drool off my keyboard. :?
Just what do the blanks sell for?????????????????
none of this matters because the drawings are fixed.
