FAOL Banner/Flag
Anyone out there that can help Fcch or me with a banner or flag we can fly at our Fish-Ins. Something to point out the "Gathering Place". I know that both of us can get one made but thought I'd ask the members first.
Our Fish-Ins are so close togather that we would need two. They can be passed on to other Fish-Ins for sure.

Bill;
I'm usualy up early so I also need a flag with a coffee pot. If it's flying the coffee's on!! Being a retired engineer I can figure that out!
Got to get people signed in so we know who's there and where they are.
I'd also like to do some sort of "Sale", "T"shirt, hats, etc to support FAOL. Got to find out if that's ok first.
For you we will put up signs on M72 saying "Bill, turn right here!!".

Yes Jack, FAOL has a traveling "FAOL Banner" they ship to all the Regional FAOL Fish-In's"!
The host has the honor of marking with a Sharpie Pen his name and the place and date of the Regional Fish-In, on the back-side of the banner.
FAOL also has the Full-Sized "FAOL BANNER" for the ANNUAL FAOL FISH-IN!

jack,
Thanks for thinkin' of that. I was already starting to get in "logistics" mode and was wondering about that one.
I would have touched bases with LF & JC too about it.
Usually, ... for the past gatherings I've done, ... for the office etc, ... we fly the office's flag at the "spot" and we put up road markers along the route http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif
There are very few roads in this neck of the woods, so as long as the gang stays on the regional highway, ... they do OK.
Like I say to most visitors, ... leave Quebec city along the St-Lawrence sea way, ... when the ROAD ENDS!, ... turn around, ... you've gone 7 hours too far http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif

JC,
I'll be dipped. How come this hasn't been mentioned, at least to my knowledge, so we could do the signing bit at the Roscoe Fish-Ins?
Must keep it in mind for next year.

Maybe because you never asked?
The first 3 Fish-In's were traveling Fish-In's at different locations around the country.
1998 - West Yellowstone
1999 - Black Hills
2000 - Central Pennsylvania
Then in 2001 the Fish-In was on the Delaware River near Hancock New York. There Jim and Deanna announced that the Annual Fish-In was going to be at a fixed location, same time each year.
That is when I posted on the Bulletin Board the idea, that if the Annual FAOL Fish-In was not going to travel. Then we could have as many Regional FAOL Fish-In's as members were willing to do a little leg work.
I attended the FAOL Regional Fish-In, in the spring of 2002. Since then there are been Regional Fish-In else where.

Denny Conrad has had a FAOL banner at the Sow bug Roundup here in Arkansas the last few years, too.
