Pictures of our new oil-less deep fryer
Hi folks,
just a few snaps of the new Char-Broil Oil-Less turkey and deep fryer we bought:

Note how close I am to the fryer. In this next one you will see my size 13 EEE's right up to the fryer. You would not want to do this with an oil fryer. That bird has only been in there mere minutes and is beginning to brown. You could smell it and hear it sizzle!

Hope you enjoy the photos. We will let you know how it tastes! Turkey for dinner tonight! I think I hear the Knepp's coming over the mountain.

Looks like a pretty good buy so far. MMMMMM, on the shot looking right down into it, I could smell that turkey!

Poo I can't see the pic. Be sure to give us an update on how the bird turns out.
Pssst nighthawk.....you might want to close the curtains .
I think Wild one is a lot closer to you than you think he is . He's close enough to smell the bird. You may have a stalker my friend.
Ps. as I cannot seem to get the pic to come up on my puter. Can you tell me the weight of the bird?

Eric,
At risk of repeating myself from an earlier post/reply, you have to let me know how the drippings collected. When i read the description, of this fryer, it mentioned a grease tray but no drip pan. Sometimes the cooking process is too hot for drippings other than grease . In any case let me know, and ,enjoy that turkey.

Mark,
Here you go buddy. The pan sat outside in 45 degree F weather until it was stone cold. There was probably at least 3 cups of very liquid juices, drippings and grease. Probably95% liquid.

14 pound bird took about 1Hr. 50 min. to cook. Basted skin only once just prior to cooking with a baste of melted butter, olive oil, onion powder and garlic powder.
Did not use any injectable marinade this time but will next time around. Skin is crunchy but dry, still tasty. The meat was just delicious! Very juicy and tender! As I suspected this is more like combination of fryer and rotisserie cooker. Some experimenting is in order. This fryer should be just the ticket for those of us watching our weight and cholesterol. So far I love it!!!
Best review was from Amy. She could smell the bird cooking two blocks away at the post office! Says it is yummy!!

Eric,
Thank You for the effort ( pictures etc.) to answer my question. Based on that, I'm off to Lowes.
Thanks again,
Mark
