Tying with Phentex

I am looking for a few good patterns that use phentex (olefin yarn)....I can't seem to find any on the web.

Unless I'm mistaken, Phentex is the same, or virtually the same, as 'poly yarn'. Some ways to use it would include: Tails on sparkle duns, wings on parachutes; wings on spinners; Seen it used for extended bodies; or anything that you think appropriate and will work. Experiment and see what you come up with.

Thanks Deezel...I am doing some of that and using for parachutes a lot.....I seem to remember a pattern for a Tom Thumb using it but I can not find it.

I love the Phentex in for making woolheads. I never thought of that. Thanks Greg for digging that up.

I use green phentex for Renous Specials, black for larger Black Ghosts, both for Atlantic Salmon fishing. They are great for bodies if you separate the fibres, way to bulky if you leave them intact. I split my phentex in half or third depending on the fly to get a nice body. Color stays nice in the water also,
