St Croix SCII 5wt
This one is a 5wt 4pc SCII blank by St.Croix. Did something a bit different with the seat on this one, it is a AW12 Window seat and I stripped the insert out of the seat so the blank would be visible in the seat. Once the insert was stripped then I coated the blank with finish, applied the St Croix inscription, then coated a 2nd coat of finish over that and painted the arbors black so they would not show when looking at the seat. Gives it a pretty unique look I think. Stayed subtle with the grip and just added some rubberized ends to it. Wraps are Cobalt Blue (true color doesn't show up in pics as good as in person for some reason) and left off any trim on the wraps and only used single turn trim on the inscription area. Twisted ring style hook keeper and alignment dots finish it out.

MCFR,
Even on your more "subdued" rods, you manage to add a twist or innovation, that really compliments the rod. Just like flybugpa, I Really like this one. I'm a sucker for the clean lines of the older GL3/GLX Loomis rods, so you can see why I'm excited about this build of yours. Thanks for sharing!
Best regards, Dave S.
