One of my close friends is a Chinook Indian from S.W. Washington. I use to fish with him on the ocean out of Ilwaco Washington. When ever we would see a raninbow, Rick would always say....Big Medicine. I beleived him.
When then got into the fish.........
I love rainbows.
I saw a nice double rainbow last Sunday, with the brighter of the two seemingly coming down at the end of the lake over a loon's nest that we discovered there.
Given the loon's "first cousin" status to a merganser, I thought that was ironic!
Jonezee to bad there are no fish in my front yard.
K_P what no pot of gold in the nest?

I saw something amazing the other night. The moon was almost full and I drove out of a thundershower and there was a moon rainbow. It was a grey line shaped like a rainbow across the horizon. Has anyone else ever seen one of these?

Brings to mind a comic line from "Dennis the Menace" from years ago.
The cartoon shoed Dennis and Joey talking and admiring a rainbow.
Dennis: "Joey, ya know at then end of every rainbow there's a pot o'gold! Let's go."
Next frame, boys standing at one end: "Dangit Joey, we got the wrong end!...."
