ruberized cork

I have experianced some problems with rods I have built with the best cork I can find getting worn from guys casting heavy flies and fighting big fish. These are guys who fish 4-5 times a week and put alot more wear on a rod than most of us. Anyways I am looking for a composite cork that looks has a fine but natural (light colored) look. I know where I can get the darker stuff but I have no idea where i can get a very light color of composite.

I only use ruberized cork as a butt piece on spinning rods. When I build fly rods I usually use a mix of cork and burl, placing the harder burl rings where the most wear occurs (where the thumb and forefinger fall on the grip). I use either light mixed burl or natural burl. The natural burl is the natural color in the burls that most suppliers have in 5 different colors, blue, green, red, brown and natural. The natural is the lightest. I don't like solid burl grips because they are too heavy and too hard.
