Fly question
I recently got a free fly at a outdoor show today. I havent ever used one before or seen one. Has anyone seen one of these flies, know what species they target, the name of it, or how to tie it?

Not sure exactly what it is but it looks somewhat similar to a Blood Worm pattern. Here's a pic of Phil Rowley's Frostbite Blood Worm...

Can't be too sure from the picture, but looks like a woven nymph pattern. Is there a different colour to the underside of it??

Ik the pic is pretty bad, but yah the colors are different. The top is red the bottom is chartruese. However they had it in many other colors. the tail is krystal flash.

Sounds like a shuttle weaved fly, same technique as used on some of the polish nymphs

Looks like it might be a good fly for the saltwater worm "hatch"here in the nor'east. The colors are about right as is the size. In the salt we dead drift the fly on a floating line to stripers feeding like trout. Some of these fish are quite large. Ron
