Dear Mikie,
I'm pretty sure there is an Orvis store in downtown Bethlehem.
There is the Little Lehigh fly shop right along the bank of the Little Lehigh in the Heritage section.
Other than those two places he's probably going to have to drive a bit.
Best Wishes,
Avalon :D
where does he live? theres two shops near blakeslee. Would be a bit of a drive though
He lives in Freemansburf which is a section of Bethlehem.
Where in Blakslee? I might pay the a visit...
Mike:
Like Avalon said there is an Orvis store in Bethlehem but their inventory is "modest" at best. The Little Lehigh Shop is OK too.
A little known fact is that Nestor's in Whitehall; even though they don't sell fly fishing stuff, still sells flies, (for some reason). Call 1st because I'm not sure about inventory 610-433-4060. There also is an L.L. Bean Store in Center Valley but I have no idea about flies. I personally found their fishing inventory a bit disappointing.
But IF he doesn't mind a 30 minute or less drive to Hamburg, Cabela's has everything he could want.
Tell him to take a drive to LL Bean at the [url=http://www.llbean.com/shop/retailStores/centerValley/index.html:9d5a0]Prominade Shops[/url:9d5a0] in Center Valley. It's a 10-15 minute drive from Freemansburg via Hellertown or I-78.Quote:

LL Bean doesn't have much stuff at all.

They claim to have a huge selection of flies and materials. I never been there myself so I couldn't tell you. Heck your like 30 or 40 miles away from Cabelas in Hamburg Just take 78 west to 61 north, you can't miss it! I know they have a Good selection of flies and materials there.
Hope this helps a little. Good luck!
