In the previous thread on trout color vsion BenC presented some really interesting information (so did many others). The current issue of Fly Tyer magazine has an article "Does Color Matter?" which adds some more interesting information. It probably doesn't change any conclusions but adds to our knowledge. The author, Dr. David Ross, is a senior research scientist emeritus of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institutiuon. He gives practical recommendations based on his studies.
