Montana's Big Horn
River is running very low - 2000 cfs as of May 18th, but the fishing is very good. Spring Baetis are hatching in good numbers and the fish are feeding on them. Weeds are not much of a problem yet, but if the flows remain this low they will become a problem shortly. Angler numbers are moderate but expect that to increase. Trout are in good shape and eager to feed. Nymph fishers seemed to be doing well but I was only there to fish dries.

Big change in flows from last year when it hit 15,000 by early June.

Thanks for the update. I'm heading out there for a week of relaxation this coming Sunday. As noted above, it certainly will be a different year than last year when we were fishing at 10K CFS and escaped Ft. Smith the day before they shut down I-90.
