Boots
I just replaced my bootstrings. This is my second time in 5 years, the strings were still useable. But they failed at the front of the lace. I could have put heat to the string and kept them in use.I bought 50 ft of Camo Cord, it is use for tying tent stakes to the tent. It does a great job on the boots that have metal eyes. I hope this helps you if your having trouble.

There is no doubt, wading boots eat laces! I usually replace them every winter so I start the year with a fresh pair.

Why not try something like Christmas Island wading boots? The kind that are like rubberized neoprene and have plastic zippers. No strings and hold up well even in saltwater for which they were designed http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif. I use them anyway. They aren't cheap but they do last.

The ones with steal eyelets. I have a pair of Hodgemans, a gift from my family.
