Braided Flies
I have been braiding flies for many years using 2 pieces of material. Does anybody know if there is information out there on how to braid/weave more then 2 pieces of material. I have looked online and in books and can't find any information on how to do it. In particular I am looking for information on how to braid similar flies like Petru Dima ( [url=http://www.danica.com/flytier/pdima/pdima.htm:a5dbe]http://www.danica.com/flytier/pdima/pdima.htm[/url:a5dbe] ).
Thank you,
Garren

Thank you everybody for the input.
RG/AR - I think you are on to something with teh tablet weaving. In all of Petru's flies he is using multiples of 4 colors (8 claret, 4 yellow & 4 orange braided floss). I just need to figure out how to do it around a hook. I can't imagine braiding 16 pieces of materials without a tool of some sort.

Garrenw, I haven't tried the japanese tablet weaving in flytying as of yet, but it's on one of my back burners....makes some very attractive patterns, and I can envision the eye of my hook pointed straight down while I weave around the shank.......

RG/AR - if you ever get more into the tablet weaving let me know how it goes I will do likewise. This is a technique that I would love to learn how to do.
