So today while casting a damselfly pattern, there were A LOT of real damselflies buzzing around the water.
And then a thought crossed my mind: Would it be a cool coincidence, or accidental baiting, if a damselfly landed on my fly, and then a fish took both(the fly and the damselfly?)
It would be a cruel joke on the damsel fly that landed on your fly with something else in mind:(
Like many other, there have been a number of times where I've had dragon flies "capture" my fly on the back cast. I've even had a couple fly away holding up the leader and 8 or 9 feet of line before they release the fly.

Perhaps would be a good idea to creat some "sexy" damsel imitation to get the real ones to land on it. Don't worry then if it's bait or not, maybe just porn fishing.
What can be worse or actually cool is when you cast your dry and it hits the water and the Swallows start to pick it up. Never hooked a bird but you know you have the right pattern.
