Getting a leg up on tails
Moose body hair has been my go-to recently for tailing attractor dries, but while poking around in my stuff I came across a piece of elk hock that I bought some time in the late 90's (and promptly forgot about), as well as some deer hock, too. Great stuff - stiff, doesn't flair and nicely marked. The elk works for flies up to about a #10, the deer is quite a bit shorter.

Need to find some moose hock and see how that stacks up.
