I will be going to Summit County (Keystone, CO) this summer for vacation. I'm looking for suggestions for a guide for a 1/2 day wade trip in the area. In addition I'm looking for suggestions on flies that I can tie before I get there so I'm ready for fishing on my own.
Any suggestions on guides that you've had personal experience with would be appreciated as well as fly selection suggestions.

Brian, Cutthroat anglers in Silverthorne has an excellent outfitting and guiding service ! Just do a search for their website. Also Pat Dorsey at the Blue Quill Angler in Evergreen would have some excellent advice. For flies and streamflows got to colorado fishing.net. The Blue River is a Tail water and won't be blown out by runoff.:D

Hi Brian,
We were in Keystone at Christmas. I checked in with Summit Guides, but alas they had suspended guided fishing because the temps were below freezing. I, too, think Cutthroat Anglers is your best bet. Also, I highly recomend the Mountain Lyon Cafe across the highway from Cutthroat. It's worth the wait for a booth!!!!
I loved our time there.

A big thank you to all who replied. I'd heard some good things about Cutthroat Anglers, but on another board I'd heard some less than flatering things as well, so I was glad to hear a positive report of them.
Also a big thank you to Sagefisher for the comprehensive Colorado site. Lots of useful information there.

Although I did not use Cutthroat Anglers, I did use information from the Keystone Chamber of Commerce for Nordic Ski instruction last winter.
