I can hardly wait. If only the snow, wind & rain would go away. Any day now, I hope!

When you go riding, how far to you go?
Good
thing is it strengthens your legs for float tubing and wading. :D Congrats. and that's a fine looking machine.

Been on a diet for two months and so far I have lost 60 days! ;)
Now that right there is funny
Hey BBW, good luck in continuing your weight control program. Your method of "gradual" loss through exercise is probably the best way to control weight. Less chance of the yo-yo up/down loos/gain stuff that happens in crash diets. Reaching over and patting myself on the back, I've "shed" 25 lbs since last October ( absolutely abstained from my beloved Spam, lettuce and tomato on toast sammies). Stood on the scale this AM at 211.5 . My BIG problem is that I'd always "live to eat" and now I ( kinda) "eat to live". And to further test my resolve, we're visiting friends whose wife attended the California Culinary Academy . And, being the gentleman my mamma learnt me to be, it's been VERY tough to pass up or only nibble some of the delights she creates and I mean CREATES. This AM we had croissants ala French toast with fresh raspberries, blueberries and strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream. I ate about a third and the rest for lunch. This visit WILL be a test but it's the "grand scheme" I'm looking at. I turned 69 last Saturday and I hope to enjoy a few more years and getting fit ( more or less) is a step in the right direction ( dieting knocked my total Cholesterol down from about 230 to 150 (+-) Seeing results like that just fuels my motivation.

PS: Tonight it's MY "turn" at the stove. "Diet" potato pancakes.......................................... ...you're right, ain't NO such thing but......................
Good luck to all, I will have to throw my name in the hat. I did Atkins with exercise 7 or 8 years ago. Dropped about 50 lbs. which have found me again. I am back on day 2 of regular exercise feel better already. But I so love food. If it has too much fat, salt or sugar in it I love it. All my life I have heard people say "that was so rich I could only eat a bite." I have never seen that food, I would like another piece please. But I have to get my mind focused and cut back in addition to the exercise.
I don't know exactly how to structure it. But I have had several friends who have been in contest with friends on weight loss. The thought occurred to me to have a bet for a dozen flies in 6 months. What do ya think?
