Orvis Waders
Any thoughts or comments on The Orvis Pro Guide2 or Tailwaters XT waders. I have never owned Orvis waders but very much like the idea of having a wader that easily converts to waist high and also comes in a short with a smaller size foot..That is perfect for me. I appreciate any comments if anyone has worn these styles.
Thanks - Bill from PA

Re: Orvis Waders
Bill,
I own them both. The tailwaters are beefed up a little more and seemingly last a bit better. Poobably worth the little more money. They have excellent customer service as well. I have enjoyed them both. I think that either is a good choice.

I own the Tailwater xt and i think there great, good for kneeling and just siting on a log you dont have to worry about much.

Re: Orvis Waders
I have to say that when the Tailwater XTs first came out, I tried on a pair of the bootfoots and bought them on the spot. Best feeling, best fitting waders I've ever worn. But they leaked. And so did the next two pair. I finally wound up with a pair of Simms that I hate, but they don't leak.

Re: Orvis Waders
I just bought a pair of the Guide model. It looks like Orvis is closing them out for $199.
