Here is a streamer that I tied up for a swap on my local message board. It measures just a hair shy of 5", and is articulated. I can't wait to fish this for some of the big browns in one of my local streams when the water is a little off color.
Materials:
Two size 2 5x long tiemco's
Bright yellow straight cut rabbit strips.
woodduck feather.
flashabou.
If you want the tying instructions just pm me and I will send them to you..Enjoy!

Flyfshn76,
There are a couple of similar flies used out here for Steelhead and Dolly Varden. One of the things done here is to use a shorter hook for the stinger (trailing hook), usually something like an 2 Xtra short, straight eye. The loop to stinger is longer and the stinger is hooked into the rabbit strip. The loop is tied to the stinger using a catspaw knot so the rear hook can be changed as needed.
Very nice pattern. It should entice a brown out of cover for sure.

A straight eye, short shank stinger hook and a Waddington shank produce my preferred system for articulated flies for good fish.
The extra front hook will cause issues, too.
Aside from that, that fly will fish.
