Alright, time to tie like a maniac last-minute and get the supply ready for the Fish-In! What flies are you gonna make sure to have plenty of? I plan to bring my tools and some materials to tie there as well.

Here's my (growing) list:
poppers/gurglers of many styles
Bully's spiders in multiple colors, primarily black, brown and olive
boa leeches
hare's ears
yellow/black fly that I tie and like
small woolly buggers
I'll also have a vise and materials. Hare's mask, chenille, foam, legs, peacock herl, maribou, boa yarn and anything else that will fit and looks gilly.
My best producer last year was this nondescript nymph tied with copper colored "Lite Brite" dubbing.

I also caught fish on black/peacock bluegill buggers, hare's ear nymphs, and small buggers.

The Boudreaux and JitterBee are the most reliable of ANY bluegill flies. Yes, everyone has favorites, but these two should always be on top of the list.
gurgle pops, chernobyl ants, mohair leaches and boa leaches have all been good this weekend.Attachment 4644Attachment 4643
Steve that first pic would look better if you had a blue and red shirt on. Nice fish anyway. Is that down in the pits?
Yes larry that is at the pits. Sorry I won't wear red and blue anymore.
Larry that bass was caught on my 2wt got a bit interesting with the cattails.
The combination of red and blue with a touch of yellow makes me want to vomit! I did (no lie) absoltely whup the fish on an all-purple fly with silver bead chain eyes this morning....
Steve, don't catch em all before we get down there!
Kid the only time you will see me in purple is when I have a bruise. Steve, I bet that was some fight on your hands with a 2 wt. Good job landing that beast.
Just a few more days! I've got some leeches and hares ears in the works yet... Then on to orange Slumpbusters!
