Jack,
Good for you sounds great, but - Specifics! Specifics here please!
Which streamer fly in the archives. I'm wanting to tie some good flies to fish with my 2wt. I wouldn't mind giving a bass some excercise or so.

Hey Jack,
Sure sounds like a variation of Al's
Crappie Candy. A personal favorite of mine
here in SC.*G* Warm regards, Jim

Thanks you two!
I looked at the instructions for the Crappie Candy and I think I can do that. I have the materials also.
Only problem is that I've been accused of building more rods than flies. That could be true! I will give it a stab.

I did not twist your arm to make you do.
I might have suggested that you broaden your horizions, but you don't have to listen to me any more than my wife does. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif

Growing up I used to fish for crappie with jigs as well but we never used bobbers. What are the techniques you use for crappie fishing? Do you use and indicator or just strip with a floating line? With an indicator do you just let it sit there, do you move it a little? I am just getting into this warm water stuff sorry if I am asking dumb questions. BTW I am all over that crappie candy fly. I bet that would work on shad too.

Hey Alan,
As a matter of fact, I caught my first
shad on a fly on one of Al's crappie candies. I personally use the crappie
candy on a floating fly line and just watch
the line tip as an indicator. I let it drop
to the desired depth and then slowly work it
back up through the desired zone. Then I
let it drop again. Often the take is on
the drop. My fish like a hot pink wing on
it. Real attention getter.*G* Warm regards, Jim
