Santas' delivery
Well it's strange, but this is the first year Santa didn't deliver ANY FF stuff to our address. He probably checked earlier and saw that I already had Waders, hippers, 5 fly rods. four reels, a small assortment of various wts fly line, several full fly boxes, leaders ( some gifted furled) etc, a vise and materials I haven't the skill to use. So what else can someone who fly fishes only about three or four weeks a year including a fish-in or two possibly need, NOTHING, so he acted accordingly. Happily though, he didn't use the same deductive reasoning in the area of sweaters, jackets, shirts, socks, single malt and pocket flask. Life is STILL good.
Is it safe to assume (yes, I know) that I was to only one here on FAOL who was so UN-fly fishingly treated by Santa ??.
Mark
That being said, I'd rather be in Wyoming.

Santa brought me a wish as a present ... and I chose something no related to fishing either...
Life is as good as it can get.

I must have been a VERY good boy this year. Santa brought me a Canon PowerShot A570 IS camera! Now, I need to get to work on an area to photograph flies.

No fly fishing or tying stuff this year for me this year. My wife did not get any quilting stuff either.
I 'do' fly fishing/tying and my wife 'does' quilting and we both are very tolerant of each others hobbies (money wise), so we decided that neither of our hobbies REALLY needed more for Christmas.
So we ended up getting a nice 32" lcd hd tv for the living room, a nice small 17" lcd tv for her quilting room - as her old one bounced off the moving truck when we were unloading it and I got a nice book shelf type radio/cd player for the tying/computer room. All were discontinued models at super low prices we just couldn't pass up.
It's kinda funny, most nights I'm in my computer/tying room all night long and she is in her quilting room. We meet in the hallway or kitchen when we re-stock up on drinks or munchies. We plan a movie night around the delivery of NetFlix, but mostly we are in our respective rooms enjoying our hobbies.
I go to quilt shows and shops with her (you can find a lot of tying stuff there) and she does go to the fly shops with me.
