The other day I was at the party shop and there was a yard of beads for $1.50. I thought that that it was pretty cheap.
they were silver but you could go buy different colored permanet markers from the DOLLAR STORE lol.
thanks,

Do you mean connected beads, like for buggie eyes, or beads that will slide off the line they're on so you can use them for bead heads?
A really cheap place for buggie eyes is a hardware store that sells lamp pulls by the foot/yard/mile. They come in black, white, silver, gold, and (my favorite!) multicolored!! And in varied sizes.
For single beads, check your hobby store for beads in tubes. They're really incredibly priced, and the colors are terrific! And lots of different sizes.

Betty Hiner,
I meant connected beads. SORRY for the misunderstanding.
thanks,

FisherKid93- Just as a heads up for you the beads you bought are known in the fly tying world as Beadchain. They have been used for many years for Shad Flies and Steelhead flies. If I rmemebr right they were first used on the West Coast. Just thinking out loud. Ron

That's kind of what I thought you meant. That being the case, you've GOT to check out your local hardware store! The bead chains are fantastic!!
Great tip to check the party stores! Spose they've got feathers, too?
