Eastern Sierra Trout opener...

is this weekend.
My buddies and I have decided to drive up Wednesday and spend 2 nights in Bishop. I guess we will miss a lot of exitement and the big ol' drunken parties that go along with opening day. We'll also miss a lot of pressure and traffic and have the creeks mostly to ourselves.
My friend Mike retired last October, ran himself ragged for 4 months with his dad in the hospital and health care facilities until he passed. He's due for some R&R. Dennis works for a Defense Contractor and will be deployed to Afganistan in less than a month. We are all looking forward to 3 days of fishing the cold streams of the Eastern Sierras. Hopefully the trip will take their minds off the pressures of the real world.
