Looks good but I wonder if the CDC will be stiff enough to support the fly like regular hackle. Let us know.
My concern as well. If it does not, it should still fish well in the film? Wish I could try it out right away. May have to wait till next June!!!

Interesting idea; I've seen cdc used as hackle on a parachute, like this one from Shane Stalcup:

Standing on the tips or riding in the film that looks like a winner. I guess you will have to let the trout be the ultimate judge. One question , tell us about the body. It looks like a herl but of a different color. Is it dyed or is it just the lighting of the photo that gives it a olive look?
The lighting is not very good. The body is a yellow dyed turkey biot.
I wouldn't call it a "Catskill" style without a real cock hackle.
No objection. Idea for what to call it?
How about the CDC PMD. Hey it even rhymes.
