When's the last time you actually sat down & took the time to write a letter to a service man or woman? Not a post card or an e-mail but a real honest to God letter. Don'ca think it's about time you took the time?
What they're doin' is harder 'n woodpecker lips!
Although well done...this and similar vids...sadden me.
A general sadness that increases with each new K.I.A.
Nope, I just thank them personally whenever I see someone in uniform. At least off the base. Did that in an airport in CO, should have seen the look on that Colonel's face when I thanked her for her service. Airports, when I'm out fishing, whatever, if I'm out of the DC area, I say something.

Good morning.
I thank them for being over there, and thank heaven I am too old to be over there also.
I have a friend, a fishing friend, maybe you do also (or CAN FIND ONE ???)
who is 'there', in the dirt and dust, one step short of hell.
What I found was,
something as simple as a couple of old magazines sent to him and his squad, are worth a million dollars, priceless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As this allows him and his group to stay in touch with home and still be apart of where they came from AND VERY IMPORTANTLY, something to dream about when the escape the madness and come home.
I found and sent over 'there' DVD's on anything, magazines on anything.
WHY DON'T YOU ALSO ?
The mailing to Overseas serving personal is free, here in this country.
And I would guess it would be in your country.
So, guys, no excuess......help a Service man or Lady with a simple gift.
Anybody here in Australia, if you would like to send and don't have an address, contact me and I will forward some details to you.
PS, I also gave a complete fly vise, and full kit, including hooks, to over there, which brightened up someone's dusting day 'heaps'. :D
Kind regards,
UB
ps, even a lousy Mars bar or two or something like that helps boost the guys miles more that the couple of cents it costs.
