LM Bass and Striper fly
I use both fly rod and spinning rod for my bass fishing. I also tie my flies, so I often mix the two tackle types to create a different look for the fish. I call these OKA Minnows since I use Okashira heads as the pattern platform. The body is tied from wool roving material that I get at Michaels, Hobbie Lobby, or JoAnns for a very reasonable price. The collar is a bit of material called Predator worm used in tying flies and the lateral line is a grizzly hackle feather. These guys are light and easy to cast and have a fairly slow sink rate, so I can pause 2-3 seconds on the retrieve. I can also use the 1/16oz patterns on my 7 wt fly rod to get a bit deeper when the fish are not shallow. I use them for LM bass, but I know that they would work equally well for SM and Stripers.https://gifyu.com/image/S0NxF

Nice
Very nice streamer pattern.

Thanks for sharing, Jim! I see that same jighead maker has another style jighead called a Screwhead, that has a propellor on it. Vibration might be useful when fishing muddy water. Have you tried that head?

I think crappie would take it also.

No, I have not tried that one. I will certainly pick some up to give them a try. Sometimes, just offering something that they haven't seen (or fallen for) before makes the difference between a slow day and a very good day.Jim
