Lately I've been tying some Soft Hackles and Irish Style Wets. For what I have in mind I need some blue soft hackle type feathers. Does anyone know where I might find them in size 10 or 12?
Thanks in advance.

Lotech,
What shade of blue are you looking for? If it's a lighter blue. you could dye some white (or grizzly) hen feathers using sugar-free blueberry Kool-Aid and some white vinegar.

Alberto
Check around some fly shops and/or online. I've got a pack of dyed fluorescent blue guinea feathers.
Try White Fox Fur and Feather Co. - (Google them) they have an Etsy site. I purchased a nice blue starling skin from them, through Bob Marriott's, that has dark feathers large enough for #10 & #12 soft hackles. They are in Pemberton, MN...(507) 869-3877...

That Guinea Fowl is exactly what I'm looking for. :)
I could probably find a pure white ptarmigan skin that you could use a little blue koolaid on... and since you mentioned Ireland it is interesting to note those flies were usually tied with European red grouse. It just so happens we call "red grouse" willow ptarmigan. And one grouse skin would cover just about the entire range of sizes for trout flies.
