Fly Fishing the Gunnison Country is the culmination of over 10 years of researching, photographing,
and writing about Gunnison Basin fly waters and the salmonid species that inhabit these fisheries. This
304 page, full-color fly fishing guidebook to the rivers, creeks, and high mountain lakes of the Gunnison
Basin is chock-full of information found nowhere else, including 142 beautiful color photographs with
insightful captions, numerous maps and hatch charts, sage advice directly from some of the most accomplished
fly fishing guides, fly shop owners, and outfitters in the Gunnison Valley, along with a virtually
never-ending treasure trove of other information and data on many of the Gunnison Country?s most famous
and productive fly waters. Major rivers covered include the Gunnison, Taylor, East, and Lake Fork
of the Gunnison Rivers. Smaller trout streams, including Cebolla, Henson, Big Blue, Tomichi, Quartz,
Cochetopa, Anthracite, Ruby Anthracite, and Spring Creeks, are also discussed at length. The areas premiere
high mountain lakes, including Upper & Lower Lamphier, Mill, Crystal, and Henry Lakes, are covered

trout waters of the Gunnison Basin as much by reading this book, as the author did in writing it.
