Bow River, Jan 17
Yeeeehawww it was COLD out!
Pretty good day for some, pretty decent for me. The wind was our worst enemy today, with it absolutely howling at a very strange angle (straight downstream, instead of west to east) and i was battling tangles all day (just one of those days..)
Taylor whooped me in numbers, catching 6 i think, and me ending with one big stinking whitefish and one nice rainbow.
Brent bug was king for me.

You're not wading in those Levis, are you ???
And what is with those full fingered gloves ???
Whatever - nice looking fish, and it looks like you both had a good time.

I hate fishing with gloves, fingered or not, i despise them....but it was way too cold not to be, at least -15 with the windchill, and having wet fingers is not good when its that cold

Show us the Brent Bug.... Or give use the link to it if it has already been posted, them are harsh conditions and a good producing fly is needed...

Pretty simple. Prince Nymph Brown biots for tail and legs, fire orange wire, black hareline flash dubbing

At wind chill -15, you get my vote for poster child of winter fly fishing !!
Keep after them.

I'm jealous of all you guys down in the southern part of the province....open water that isn't frozen.
Can't wait to make it down here this summer for the fish in.
