I stop here in Wisconsin when the fline freezes in the guides. If it is just freezing in the guides once in a while, I just swish the rod in the stream. I find this more effective than trying to spray the guides with some wiz bang anti freeze that only lasts a few casts anyhow. Single digits can be very challenging to fish and single handed spey type casts are best since I don't strip in the line. Put out, swing, pick up and lay back down. Clothing is key.
