Mono Minnow
http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/DSC_0014.jpg This first phot shows the construction of the fly . Color and your choice of head cement or epoxy can be added as shown in this photo.http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/t...DSC_0017-2.jpg
Finally here is a shot of colors that can be achieved with colored mono or by coloring clear mono with permanent markers.

Those look good, Fred! Great color combos you picked.
I like that hook....what is it?

Add a little extra-fine opalescent glitter to your glue and they will look even more awesome. It will resemble scales.
The larger the glitter you use, the larger the scales will look. Using your markers over the glitter will make the glitter will change color too.
Just a thought- something I do.

Thanks pittendrigh
Thanks Fatman ,as for which works better ? Epoxy and head cements have different properties. If I want a fly to stay near the surface I will use flexament which by itself floats. If I entend this fly to go deeper clear fingernail polish or epoxy will tend to be more durable and allow the fly to travel deeper.
Rick this pattern is part of a magazine article I sent in for approval. Once it's published I'll see if I can post the full pattern here.
