Double Taper Sinking Lines
Just curious, what ever happened to ordering fast sinking double tapered fly lines. Many years ago you could order them, but after looking in catalogs they only offer the floating lines.I was able to find a Cortland 444 DT 9 Sink Type 2 so I bought them. They were all we used for roll-casting in large lakes with obstructions on your back. Why have line companies discontinued them.

True, but that was mostly when taper choices were more limited, basically just DT, Level, ST, and a few versions of WF. Manufacturers and shops weren't as overwhelmed with so many choices as they are today.
Apparently the market isn't there for DT sinkers.
Splicing is always a possibility.
