Yellowstone
We will be going on vacation to Yellowstone the first week of September. Does anyone know how Yellowstone is fishing this summer? I know Firehole and Madison are likely to be too warm when we get there, but anyone know about the other rivers/lakes? Thanks.

I've fished the park a number of times this year since its opening, most recently last weekend at Slough Creek and the Yellowstone Lake area. The park is always good fishing somewhere and this year has been no exception. Can't predict what it will be like in September for you though, who knows what can happen between now and then.

just got back from there - fished entirely in the park, caught good numbers and some nice fish - fished one day with the fine guys from Parks fly shop in Garndner, MT...would recommend if you're looking for a guide.
now sure how the rivers would be in Sept - but firehole was too warm when I was there. Madison I didnt try, b/c of the firehole and temps, but seemed to be some fishing going on, not much though. Yellowstone was my best day for both size and numbers, big water though.
