Post your Scuds here!
Like to see what other people have tied.
Different colors and materials, it nice to see some fresh ideas from other people.
No bead heads, scuds only.
Here is one of mine I tied recently.
I don't really like the look of the flashy material I used for the antennae and the tail, but I think the picture itself turned out pretty cool.

Sure :)
Hairs Ear Plus dubbing. Black and Cream type of color.
Small black Wire.
10/0 Veevus black thread.
Olive Green scud back material.
DNA fish fiber for antennae and tail. (using the cream color dubbing would have looked much better)
TMC 206BL Size 16

This is a simple scud pattern that I developed back when I first stared tying. I used wire wraps to form the heads of flies instead of beads. At the time, I didn't have any beads and it was too expensive to have a wide assortment of different size beads. So, I just used heavy wire on my larger flies and medium wire on the smaller ones. Being able to vary the size of the wire and the number of wraps used to form the head gave me infinite adjustment on head size as-well-as the weight of my flies. I still tie my scuds this way today in; pink, orange, gray and olive as well.
