I have a beautiful Grizzly/dyed olive saddle that is almost all size 16 dry fly feathers.
What I need are some trout pattern suggestions for it. Thanks. :):)

I have one like it also and I have tied caddis flies.
Olive stimulators. Size 16, or 14. PMX in Size 16. Size 12 Amy's Ant. Elk (or Deer) Hair Caddis. BWO Varieties (Standard, Wulff, etc.)
I can't think of anything except selling it to a red-head.
As been mentioned above an variegated Stimilator with olive rubber legs is what I used a lot fishing for trouts when things get tough.
Ray,
Size 16 Woolly Buggers, both bead head and non-bead head, can be very effective.

If you don't mind the sacrilege of trimming off the bottom of a wound hackle I have a very useful pattern. It is just a thorax dun tied with Golden Pheasant body for the tail, appropriate coloured fine dubbing for the body, a wing post of Antron yarn. Finish off with a touch more of the dubbing at the head. After a day on the River Ribble at Paythorn when the fish wouldn't look at anything else, even a parachute tied with the same materials, it was named the Paythorn Olive. It doesn't have to be olive, match the body colour and size to your naturals. Don't forget to trim off the hackle below the hook shank.
Cheers,
A.
