Any opinions on "rite" bobbins? I attended a couple of big fly tying shows and it seemed like most of the demo tyers either were tying with this tool or at least had one on the bench.

Never tied with one, but wife uses Rite-Bobins and loves hers. Wants several more.
Excellent bobbins. I have one and would also like to own more.
Senor Jet,
I was also wondering why the thumbs down? I have used Merco 'Rite' bobbins for years and really like them. I have a few of my old wishbone style bobbins that I now use for my copper and brass wire. This year I did buy a Wasatch Mitch's Bobbin/Whirler and I use that for some of my dubbings and I also bought a Norm Norlander Nor-Vise so I have the use of his retractable bobbin. However, I still use the 'Rite' bobbins for a lot of my tying.
They are a good bobbin and you can easily adjust the tension on them with just the twirl of the side control screw.
I give it a thumbs up.
