I recently purchased some tungsten scud bodies from my local fly shop. My question is this, I have been trying to dub over the top of them and it hasn't been going to well(the dubbing noodles keep sliding off). I have also seen pictures of flies that are just the bare body with a rib. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Perhaps this is my error. I haven't been using the rib or the backing
I've never used those bodies but perhaps you could use a little adhesive ( Goop or super glue ) first.
There is a good video on you-tube about tying with those bodies and then just an epoxy back. If you search fly tying you should be able to find it.
