Recently while removing the reel from the rod-reel seat, a crack in the cork was produced as the foot of the reel came in contact with the cork. Any suggestions on a glue that might be used to firmly reattach a small section of cork?

I use Titebond III, waterproof wood glue or epoxy when building rod grips. I think either would be fine to glue back a cork chip.

I use wood glue and hold the chip in place with needles, wipe off as much excess glue as you can with a damp cloth. Remove the needles and lightly sand after 24 hours.
