I have a Hobie Float Cat 75 that I love. We sold them at the fly shop I worked at. They are no longer made. I have fished from both the Hobie and an inflatable. I think I like the hard boat better.

Does the Venture look like the Hobie?
The venture looks like the Hobie float Cat 60. The floats on the 60 model are 60" long. The are 75" long on the 75 model. The fellow I worked with at the fly shop has a model 60. We have both fished these boats a lot. I hardly use my large Sea Nymph boat.

Might be great for ponds, lakes or easy-flowing water, but I would not take one down a river with any rocks or rapids.
No rivers for me in that floatable. Pond would be ok, but not any lake big enough to white cap.
One of the problems with not knowing where a member is from!!
Bluegill I know of a Hobie 75 for sale in my area for a very reasonable price.
I have no experience with the boat you are referring to, but, I do own a Hobie Cat 75 completely rigged with swivel seat and anchor system that I have not used in over 2 years since purchasing my NuCanoe. I would make a good deal for someone, but, not interested in trying to ship it. So, if anyone lives somewhere around me here in Tullahoma, TN and is interested in it, send me a PM. The Hobie Cat 75 is a very good fishing craft, but, since purchasing the NuCanoe, I just do not need to keep it in my garage taking up space. We could try to set up a meeting place that is neutral for the 2 of us and I can deliver it to that place and meet you.
Jack - We must have been sending a post at the same time - : ) Thanks
Warren,
Will you call me about the hobie cat. I am interested and could meet you on I24 toward Nashville. I will pm you my cell number.
