Motor
Hello guys
Im sure this has been ask before. I need a web site that they sell a low rpm motor for winding rods..I need a winter time project to do with my Grandson and I think this would be a good one. First build the winder then do the rod together.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Motor
E mail Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com and ask for thier Tackle Craft catalog--The cat features all rod buildlng supplies including a motor for$24.99. Look up a recent FAOL post on grill rotisserie motors another great motor source.

Re: Motor
I was recently looking into this myself and found a few references to places that sell motors. This link looks like it has some pretty good directions on building a motor and stand (along with a link to a supplier that has motors for as low as $3.99):
http://www.hatchesmagazine.com/page/may2006/181
- motor supplier link: http://www.surplusecenter.com/
Another link:
http://www.steelheader.net/Rodbuilding/rod_dryer.htm
- motor supplier link: www.allelectronics.com
Interesting that both articles are using 40 rpm motors, but hopefully one of those suppliers also has lower RPM motors.
Good Luck!
