Dec Hogan, Marty Howard Spey Fly Book

I realize they call it steelhead flies, but it is almost completely spey flies...

Got it as a Christmas present, (Thank you Ann!) and it only arrived today, but it is gorgeous! The photos (to someone with a very strong art photo background) are very beautifully done. The content beyond there I have not gotten to, but for now, it is in the same league as Bob Veverka's Spey Flies book and IMO that is mighty rare air!

Thanks for the heads up, Hap. For some reason, this one never showed up on my radar. One does not think of Dec Hogan as a tier due to his spey/steelheading reputation, and I do not know Marty Howard, except as the guy Dec did a DVD with a time ago (was good, but not exceptional as I remember it). If you like it as much as Veverka, this is definitely worth looking for.

After quite a bit more time with it, it continues to impress in many ways.
