ok, I have never done any dye work before. I would like to try really soon, but some of the dye recipes are to complicated.
i need a simpleish one to start off with thanx. also instructions would be greatly appreciated. :D

Chris...try the Kool Aid thing first....simple inexpensive and really works...you will read to use vinegar to set the dye but I have read that since the Kool Aid has citric acid in it you don't need the vinegar...I've done it both ways and don't notice a difference.
You can get packets of Wal-Marts brand...Great Value for a dime....
When you get it all figured out and come up with a good burnt orange recipe ...let me know
If you want to do it right...AK Best Book Dying & Bleaching.
It's very easy and uses Rit Dye that is also cheep. like using the liquid dye myself.
Why bother with dye? Use Prismacolor markers to color your material as you use it. The colors come out great everytime and last as long as the fly.

I have tied quite a few woolybuggers with this hackle and those flies caught fish.
Their marabou and chenile are color matched also.
