Help me figure this out!!

I just returned from a trip to the Lower Sac in CA -- fishing for smallmouth. The day was pretty windy (10 to 25 mph winds). I fished with a Sage RPLXi and a Winston IM6 both 7 weights. Used a Rio DT and and sink tip on the IM6 and a SA bass taper on the Sage. The Winston felt lighter. The sage handled the larger dearhair bugs better but the Winston was "more fun" with streamers and some crab patterns. Now the question -- how would a Winston LT (or LTX) in either a 6 or 7 weight work for both streamers and bugs. As always I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks Dave
