What time of year?
Eric
What part of Idaho?
Go look at my Dad and the Kid 2010 and Dad and the Kid 1009 Fishing Report threads to read about various Idaho water, best times, access, methods and flies. Also Check out some of John Scott's earlier Fishing Report threads regarding Idaho fishing. You could also look at those currently in the Fishing Report section by Sasha and Keatonsdad. Lot's of info.

Check out the Fish In section for the Idaho Fish In coming up again in Sept.

Try not to limit yourself to Rainbows. The Browns and the Westslope Cutthroat can both bring big smiles.
Sorry, did not do a good job of this. I know nothing about Idaho but potatoes, so not much help.
1. Time of Year: May to July
2. Part of State: Snake river area.
3. Species: Any trout, sorry that I spec'd one.
4. Best Outfitter for trip.
Snake is a long river, with forks. Any other info?

South Fork Outfitters. Great guides and people. You'll float the most scenic stretch of river and catch lots of fish during that time of year. Here is their link: http://southforkoutfitters.com/ they have some world-class guides.
Then there is the best fly shop in the world located in Idaho Falls, Idaho - Jimmy's All Season Angler: http://jimmysflyshop.com/
The link to Bruce Staples' book mentioned above gives some great info (http://www.flyanglersonline.com/feat...trivers/snake/) Bruce is a great friend and mentor. He works at Jimmy's Fly Shop once a week and would gladly answer any questions you or your boss may have.
Beginning around the last week of June - first week of July the Salmonfly hatch kicks into gear on the river and you could catch a fish of a lifetime.
Good luck in your search.
Kelly.
