Can someone point me in the direction of a dragon fly pattern that doesn't twist your leader up? A pond I fish regularly has quite an abundance of dragon flies about.

Does this fit your bill? Its a Damsel but tied in a larger size in a tan or brown color might be one solution for a Dragon. Just an idea.

The problem is, the wings go back on one and out on the other...
That's true, JC. Like I said, just an idea http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif.

I'm curious , Leo...are you fishing for bass?
Celebrate the twist; cast hard, stop hard, watch the fly spin on the water!
Hello Leo,
May I suggest my Hard-Hackle Dragonfly here on FAOL:

I use furled leaders and have not experienced any twisting problems with this fly.

Nice pattern Richard. I'll have to give it a try.
Hi Richard,
I like that pattern. I've been looking for something like that for awhile now. Should be easy enough to tye as a "damsel" as well by adjusting the lay of the wings.

ducksterman, Yes. Fishing for bass.
Richiard, Looks great. I'm going to tie some up this evening and give them a try this weekend.
Thanks everyone,
