Sometimes you can get a cookie that acts like a virus. When you type the name of the site you want to visit, it re-directs you to a different site. I had this happen when I tried to look something up on Lowe's web page. I was told about this and was told that I had to clear out my cookies out. Worked, but a PITA to have to remember all the passwords to log into the different sites I access.
Hopefully not the case for anyone here, but something to be aware of.
Paul
It works for me.
Jc i live in south west washington state, and got it to go now, its 10:41 am pacific
JC,
Not everyone sees a website through the same route.
When the request is sent out from your computer it goes through a series of routers and nameservers. If one of them along your route is down or has incorrect information you will not get through.
This is a temporary situation and is usually cleared up soon.

JC, as long as you have not installed any software from Earthlink on your computer you shouldn't have cache problems.
Many ISP's give out software that is supposed to speed up Internet access. This software uses caching to give the illusion of speed.
While you can tweek you computer to optimal performance settings, no software can increase the speed that the data is being sent to you.
