Greetings
Hello Hoss -
Greetings and welcome from SE Idaho.
There's all kinds of stuff on this site to read through to learn the basics of fly fishing, fly tying, and rod building, both through the website main page and menus, and here on the Bulletin Board.
I suggest that you start with the "Fly Fishing Basics" menu located on the left column of the main page, just under the "Fly of the Week" picture. That will get you started, and help you ask the questions that are relevant to where you are going to fish and what kinds of fish you hope to catch.
Another suggestion is that when you ask a question, give some information on what kind of water you are going to fish - streams / rivers or lakes / ponds - and the kind of fish that are there. That way, people can be more helpful - and believe me, the people on this Bulletin Board are as helpful as they come.
Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Hello Hoss Throw a pack rod in the truck if your coming throough Southwest Mi. I'm sure your company won't mine if we spend some of your downtime on a river ( At least not if no one tells them about it).
